One of the most popular and essential services provided by chartered accountants currently is certification work. Individuals and companies frequently require CA-issued certificates as evidence of financial standing, compliance, and authenticity for bank loans, passports, credit cards, income tax-related approvals, or financial documents.

A minimal Recommended Scale of Fees, which addresses the lowest amount a CA should charge for different certification services, has been proposed by theICAI's Committee for Members in Practice (CMP). However, these recommended prices vary for Class A, B, and C cities based on location and complexity.
